A majority of voters in the St. Francis Area School District rejected the two-question referendum on Tuesday, November 7. The unofficial voting results area:
Question One: 10-year, $1.5 million annual operating levy
2414 no votes (61.58%) to 1506 yes votes (38.42%)
Question Two: 10-year, $880,000 annual capital projects levy
2458 no votes (62.8%) to 1456 yes votes (37.2%)
Our district wants to thank everyone who participated in this election. While the results are disappointing, we respect the decision of voters.
We remain committed to providing a quality education that helps all students reach their full potential, and we will work with our school board and community to determine the path ahead.
Thank you to all who offered insight, asked questions, and provided feedback throughout this process. Please do not hesitate to contact Superintendent Karsten Anderson at karsten.anderson@isd15.org or (763) 753-7041 with questions or if you need additional information.
