In celebration and recognition of National Native American Heritage Month, the Nutrition Services Department has featured a harvest lunch menu at all the schools in November. In collaboration with the American Indian Education Program, butternut squash and a wild rice blend were featured on the menu at each school for a day. Additionally, education about the importance of squash in the Native culture was created by students and on display in the lunchroom for the entire month.
